Getting Scrooged at Christmas?

I always find it upsetting when I see people getting "Scrooged at this time of the year". You would think employers would wait until after Christmas to lay people off. What a horrible Christmas present for the worker and their families. I know that this isn't the situation in our fair province because we seem to be going against the grain for a change with the many employment opportunities out there. But, for those of you who might have been affected by the Christmas layoff, or by not being able to work because of a disability, don't despair, there are a lot of good options out there for you and in some cases it might be a mixed blessing. Now could be the time for you to finally get the job or pursue the career you REALLY want. So, it could be a real gift.

No matter your circumstance, I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Blessed and Merry Christmas. Take this time to take a break from your worries and focus on the true meaning of Christmas. Not only did God give us His Son, whose birth we are celebrating, so that we can someday join Him, but it is the time to share that gift and blessing of His love with family and friends. Maybe your burdens will become a bit lighter after that and you will be able to focus on your future a bit more clearly.
